Your guide is Bonnie Friedman who has

Born and raised in Brooklyn to a family of talented
bakers and professional chocolatiers, she has pursued a
multi-faceted career on the Valley Isle – she has owned and
operated a small chocolate manufacturing company and a gourmet
catering company, served as publicist for critically acclaimed
restaurants and “celebrity” chefs, and is a well-traveled and
well-published food and travel writer; her work has appeared in
numerous local and national publications.
Bonnie has built close personal and professional
relationships with chefs, farmers and food producers here, is a
certified Pastry Cook, co-authored two cookbooks for Ten Speed
Press (Berkeley) and one for the local culinary academy. When
national food media visit
Maui, she’s a key source.
